YIME has officially launched its latest innovation - the Phosphoric Acid Special Membrane, a high-performance membrane product designed specifically for the purification and recovery of wet-process phosphoric acid. The membrane features high ion rejection, low energy consumption, excellent acid resistance, and extended service life, making it ideal for use in the chemical, phosphate, and fertilizer industries.
During wet-process phosphoric acid production, impurities such as iron, magnesium, and aluminum can significantly affect product quality and downstream stability. YIME's new special membrane, made of advanced polyolefin-based composite materials, optimizes membrane structure and ion selectivity, achieving efficient separation of multivalent cations even under strong acid conditions. Compared to traditional solvent extraction methods, the YIME membrane system delivers lower operational costs and energy consumption, providing a practical solution for green and low-carbon production in the chemical sector.
The membrane technology builds upon findings from pilot studies on membrane-based low-cost purification of wet-process phosphoric acid. These studies demonstrated that, under a membrane flux of 0.80–0.85 L/(m²·h) and an acid-to-water volume ratio of 1.0–1.1, the rejection rates of Fe³⁺, Mg²⁺, and Al³⁺ exceeded 83%, while P₂O₅ recovery remained between 55% and 60%, with treatment costs reduced to one-fifth of traditional processes. YIME has further optimized these principles through industrial adaptation and its expertise in reverse osmosis and specialty membrane manufacturing, creating a system that supports continuous operation in industrial environments.
Currently, this membrane series has been successfully tested across multiple chemical and phosphate production plants, demonstrating superior stability and cost efficiency. The purified phosphoric acid can be directly applied in the preparation of industrial-grade phosphate products and high-purity chemicals, helping enterprises improve raw material utilization and reduce overall energy consumption.
