Nanofiltration Membrane 100 GPD

Nanofiltration Membrane 100 GPD

The Nanofiltration Membrane 100 GPD, with its nanometer-scale pore size and surface charge characteristics, demonstrates resistance to fouling from colloids, suspended solids, and certain organic compounds. However, regular cleaning is still required during long-term operation to prevent clogging. With a daily water production capacity of 100 GPD, it reliably meets the daily water needs of an entire household.

Product Introduction:

The Nanofiltration Membrane 100 GPD features a pore size of 1–2 nanometers, positioning it between Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO). Its operating pressure typically ranges from 0.5–1.5 MPa, which is higher than UF (0.1–0.3 MPa) but significantly lower than RO (1–10 MPa). This low-pressure characteristic greatly reduces energy consumption, making it especially suitable for pressure-sensitive or continuous operation scenarios.

The Nanofiltration Membrane 100 GPD is generally a composite membrane, consisting of a porous support layer and a dense separation layer. The support layer provides mechanical strength, while the separation layer achieves precise filtration through its nanometer-scale pores.

Application Range:

  1. Drinking Water Treatment: Softens water quality, removes organic matter and color, reduces the risk of disinfection by-products, and produces safe, standard-compliant drinking water.
  2. Industrial Wastewater Treatment: Applied in industries such as electronics and pharmaceuticals to treat wastewater, recycle water resources, and achieve discharge standards.
  3. Food and Pharmaceutical Processing: Used in processes such as juice concentration, antibiotic extraction, and peptide purification, while preserving the activity of heat-sensitive substances.
  4. Special Softening Requirements: Achieves water softening through selective permeability to ions of different valences, without the need for regeneration or the generation of secondary pollution.

NF Membrane Features

  • Material Diversity: NF membranes can be fabricated from a wide range of materials, including polyamide, cellulose acetate, sulfonated polysulfone, aromatic polyamide composites, and inorganic materials. Some NF membranes feature surfaces coated with polyelectrolytes, giving them a negative charge that enhances the rejection of charged ions.
  • Technology Positioning: In its early stage, the NF membrane was often referred to as a "low-pressure RO membrane" or "loose RO membrane." It is recognized today as a novel pressure-driven membrane technology positioned between Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF).
